West Seattle Bridge -- July 1983

Workers here are removing the forms used to construct the guardrails. After the forms are removed, the guardrails are covered with construction blankets which will help to retain moisture so that the concrete will not dry too fast and cure improperly.

The 76 story Columbia Center is not visible in the skyline in the background. At the time of this photo, the building was still under construction a couple of floors below street level.
